As we live through the 21^st century, natural disasters are still a major threat to the human race. In addition, biological lives are impacted. Severe damage remains to the heaven and earth. Based on past history, it is imperative that we try to repair what was done.

Looking at earth, it is difficult to source natural minerals and rocks, which is a grave warning to be said about the imbalance on earth. As a result, we have to improvise to create artificial rocks, a resourceful plan to repair our earth, rivers, and mountains.

While artificial rocks are in reference to timing, the act of repairing is in fact a metaphor – a reminder for the human race, as a unit to reflect and evaluate our cause and problems. One may not see the effect, but as a society, the impact persists.

In The Rocks, gentleness is transcended through ink, meanwhile, the painting as a collective conveys strength and solidity. Indeed, rocks are shaped through constant erosion, cyclization and metamorphism. It encompasses years of environmental challenges, adversity and experience, and can be perceive as an epitome of human perseverance.

盤古開天闢地，復有女媧補天，而天地成。

時值21世紀，人類驚覺災難頻仍，生態失衡，天地大耗大損；故不得已，再次進行補天地之大計。

然，進行補天地之際，頓覺無法採集足以補天地之石材，蓋生態嚴重失衡、生靈塗炭、哀鴻遍野。。。

於是，自告奮勇私行造石計劃，方能蒐集所造之石以備補天地，還河山，謀福祉，利眾生。

事實上，『造石』乃『契機』；『補天』亦為『借喻』。關鍵之於人類共同體，在面對嚴重失衡的當下，亟需省思之『大補救』。小至個人自身，大致群體社會，無一倖免。

我以水墨之陰柔，造石之陽剛——石之肌理，乃經歷考驗之蹂躪、逆境之折磨、歲月之衝擊，終而成型為結體之剛毅、個性之崛強、精神之凝煉。

誠然，『石』者，『師』也。
